Madera Canyon Nature trail provides a great hike with lots of bird sightings and maybe a deer or two. It gently increases in elevation along a winding trail to give you views of the forested canyon. It is considered an easy to moderate trail. The route back will take you downhill via the road, past the various Bed and Breakfast.
Rogers Rock is considered a CHALLENGING hike. It is uphill all the way to Rogers rock, which is about half way around the loop, maybe a little less.
Lots of huffing and puffing if not in great shape!
Once at the rock you will have great views of the valley below. The rest of the hike takes us downhill back to the parking area.
